ETHEL'S ROMANCE (A3)
Inspired by the legendary tattooist Ben Corday’s doodling on photo of Ethel, later made into his tattooing business card. This painting was also inspired by a popular tattoo design featuring a lady profile portrait and lady figure.
I am strong believer of body autonomy including the demolition of regular beauty standards via tattoos. This painting carries a symbolic meaning of that idea for me.
